A Bad Monkey and a Cunning Lion

One day, a monkey was caught by a lion while he was walking in the forest.  The monkey begged the lion, “Don’t kill me.  If you let me go, I’ll help you catch a rabbit.”

Immediately, the monkey got a good idea.  He dug a keep hole and then covered it with some leaves.  At the same time, the lion hid himself behind the tree because he wanted to see how the monkey caught the rabbit.

Soon, a blind rabbit was coming.  The monkey pretended to be kind and asked the rabbit to walk straight ahead.  As planned, the rabbit fell into the hole.

At this moment, the lion jumped out and carelessly fell into the hole.

The monkey said proudly to the lion, “See, you stupid lion! You fell into my hole.  Please save yourself!”

Then, the monkey went away happily!
