Karen’s Lesson

Yesterday, Mum gave some pocket money to Karen because she did well at school.  When she got the money, she was glad and excited.  At once, she wanted to buy some yummy food with the money.

In the street, she saw a hawker who was selling curry fish balls.  Happily, she ran to the street stall and bought a stick of fish balls.  She ate it hungrily and then she bought another stick.  At the end, she ate five sticks of fish balls.

After that, she went back home.  After 15 minutes, suddenly, she felt a serious pain in her stomach.  The pain was growing bigger and bigger.  Painfully, she rushed to the toilet.  After 20 minutes, she came out and the pain went away.

After the lesson, Karen learned that she shouldn’t buy any food from the illegal hawkers.

My Dream

In my dream, I was in Cyber City.  I said in surprise, “I can’t believe my eyes!  Where am I?”  Then somebody told me that it was Cyber City.  I knew that it was a dream, but I was still happy.

In the dream, I saw a cute, modern, colourful, Chinese, metal robot.  I was laughing when I saw an alien which looked like an octopus.

After that, I found a company which rented cars.  Without a second thought, I paid money to rent a car.  Suddenly, I saw a robot lying on the ground.  He said, “Boy, my leg is in pain.  Can you send me to the hospital?”  I answered, “Sure.”

At last, he said, “Thanks, boy.” I felt excited because I have helped someone, I mean a robot.

A dream which taught me something

Last night I had a dream.  I was walking the street and was playing an interesting video game which was my favourite.  I felt very excited and was paying full attention to the game, so I didn’t notice the people in front of me.

Suddenly, I bumped into a middle-aged woman who was carrying some food.  I fell down and she did so.  Unluckily, she dropped all her things onto the ground.  The woman shouted angrily, “Who did that?” I got up quickly.  Then, I ran away as fast as I could.

At that moment, I woke up, but I was still scared.  I decided not to play video games while I was walking on the street.

A Complaint Letter

Dear Sir,

I am writing to complain about the new television which I bought from your company.

Yesterday, I bought it from ABC Shop in Mongkok.  The model is EX-18520.  The problem was that when I turned it on, I saw smoke coming out of it.  I was scared because it was dangerous.

I hope you can exchange it with a new one which works properly.

A Thank You Letter

Dear Mr Lee,

Thank you very much for teaching us a lot about the space in the tour.  We really enjoyed it very much.

First, it was wonderful to learn about the solar system and the eight planets.  Also, we saw some rocket models and space shuttles which are big and magnificent.  We felt surprised that they looked so real.

In the Resource Centre, you recommended us some good books about the space.  They were useful!  Then, you gave us some free time to search for information in doing a school project about the space.  Thanks for giving us some good advice.

The most unforgettable place we visited was the IMAX Theatre.  We watched a movie about the formation of the universe.  It was fantastic and we all felt excited.

It was really a meaningful and educational experience!

Baking Cake for Mom

One day, Mary learnt how to bake cake from her Mother. 

First, Mother mixed the ingredients together.

Then, Mother asked Mary to pick a bit of the mixture and taste it.

Next, Mary spread the dough with a rolling pin.

After that, both of them cut the pastry into shapes of stars and hearts with pastry cutters.

Then, they put the pieces on the tray.

Next, Mother put the tray into the oven.

After 15 minutes they took out the tray and the cookies were ready.

At last, they ate the delicious cookies after dinner.

Macy and the chair

Yesterday, Macy made the chair dirty carelessly.  Dad was angry.  Macy was also unhappy and she cried.

Soon, dad thought of a good idea.  He removed the seat cushion so that he could wash it.  After that, she saw the big hole at the middle of the chair.  To decorate the chair, she covered it with a piece of cloth.

Later, Mother was tired and she was going to sit down and read some newspaper.  Suddenly, Mother fell down through the big hole and got stuck.  The chair was then broken.

Mother was angry and shouted at Macy.  Macy said sorry to Mother and promised not to do that again.
