Who Am I?

I am a water particle and my name is called Peter, who comes from the surface of a leaf. I like playing and rolling on the leaf surface with many friends! Sometimes I slide down to the surface of the other leaves.  I am colorless and oval in shape. I travel everywhere in my life. Do you want to hear my adventure?

When the day is very hot, suddenly, I feel my body getting lighter and lighter. I rise up to the sky like a hot balloon and I feel excited! At this moment, I find that I am no more a water droplet but change to gas with some of my friends. We are getting higher and higher. It is really delighting!

As we are getting higher, we feel cooler and cooler. I start to change back into a water droplet, together with my friends! We try to get closer and become bigger in size. We form a big cloud and become heavier and heavier. Suddenly, I fall down to the ocean with my friends. This is the end of my adventure.

Water is very important to humans and other living things. Without water, they will die, but humans don’t cherish us! They waste us easily. This makes me feel hurt and sad.

A Brave Dog

One day, a flat was on fire and some smoke was coming out. However, no one knew that. Luckily, there was a dog barking for help outside the window. At that time, a baby was sleeping in the cradle sweetly.

Immediately, the dog rushed to the baby’s room. He put the baby in his mouth and escaped from the scene urgently.

Later, someone dialed 999.  Soon, some firemen arrived and they put out the fire.  Finally, the baby was saved. The mother was very grateful to the dog. The dog was praised by the family and the firemen for its bravery.

The Birthday of Steve's Father

Last Sunday was Father’s fiftieth birthday. Steve wanted to celebrate it for his father. So, he was going to make a delicious cake to thank him for his hard work. Steve spent a few hours to bake the cake.

Before Dad came home, Steve set the table and put a candle on the cake. Then, they stood around the table and waited for Dad. Suddenly, Dad came home. They sang ‘Happy Birthday’ to Dad joyfully. Dad made a wish and blew out the candle. ‘This cake looks yummy!’ Dad said.

‘Of course! It’s made by me!’ Steve replied proudly.
They cut the cake and tasted their slice immediately. ‘Hm…it’s…quite…tasty!’ Dad exclaimed. Steve had a big bite and spit out. “Yuck…It’s disgusting! How come it’s so salty!’ Steve shouted.

At once, he knew that he mixed up sugar and salt by mistake. Despite this, Dad appreciated his effort. After all, they all had a good time.

True Friendship

Yesterday, John did something which made me unhappy. He carelessly broke my expensive pen. I felt furious at first and wanted to scold him seriously. However, I understood that it was not his intention to do that. So, I decided to forgive him.

To show that I was willing to forgive him, I approached him after the lesson and said, “Do worry!  It’s okay. I understand that you don’t mean to do that.”  Hearing that, John was very touched and patted my shoulder. “You are really my best friend!” John said and smiled to me.
